Preliminary contents page design:
Linking to my previous design to my school magazine i have created this contents page and looked carefully into how my colour and language use affect the overall look and impression of the page. I chose to stick to the school uniforms colours and have use of short and "straight to the point" headings. i did this because i feel that students would prefer to know exactly what they are about to read into and how that relates to them. this is where most of the interest is gained from the audience that it is aimed at

Formative blog feedback - Miss Hunter
Zoe,
your blog is behind where it should be at this stage of the year.
So far:
WWW:
Everything you have published is thoughtful, developed and interesting. Well done.
EBI: Careful that you don't spend so long on each post that you fall behind. Concentrate on next steps to catch up quickly
Next
steps:
- Create the contents page of your school magazine.
- Analyse the language used in one magazine and how it is adapted to a target audience.
- Complete a case study of a magazine of your choice - front cover analysis, contents page analysis, double page spread analysis, colour (throughout the magazine) analysis.

preliminary magazine design:
This is my cover design for my school magazine; "Hampstead Ready". Sticking to the colour scheme of the school uniform was something i felt allowed the magazine to appear as if it would "belong" to the students of Hampstead and maybe encourage a sense of pride in picking it up and reading it. I've used humorousness and positive imagery of students from the school to make it a slightly more eye-catching cover which is parallel to the ranging and playful text across the page that I have used in my coverlines and title.

Editor's letter (preliminary): I thought I would take a looks into how the editors themselves select their use of language when addressing the reader based on their target market. I found that most editors feel that being on a personal level with the reader really effects how the reader proceeds with the rest of the magazine.
